Today at the Port of Genoa has shown the success of the project "Alternative School Work" as a result of an agreement formalized on 20 June between the Technical Institute of Transport and Logistics "Nautico San Giorgio" in Genoa and Camogli The Maritime Directorate of Genoa and the Province of Genoa.
The project, which ends tomorrow, has had the objective to enhance the professional skills of secondary school students through direct knowledge of the world of work alternating work and study in the educational processes. The initiative saw the participation of 34 students of the San Giorgio which was offered the opportunity for a period of three weeks to perform at the Port of Genoa a concrete experience of working within the institutional activities of the Body of the Harbor.
This - said the director of the Ligurian Sea, Admiral Felicio Angrisano - "is the first time in Italy, we reach out to future leaders to make them understand what relationship they will bind to our institution. Working with young people means providing them with stimuli. This work approach has failed. We work to improve it. The agreement between the Port Authority, Institute of Nautical Province and covers the hole, such as age, two initiatives that have proved successful: the youth camp sponsored by the Ministry of Youth Policies Minister Giorgia Meloni and the relationship with the graduates of the Merchant Marine Academy ".
