- The port of Genoa tightens ties with the province of Alessandria
- Signed the Memorandum of Understanding to start the project "Gateway to the North West"
 This morning in Genoa Port Center (GPC), the structure of educational exhibition located in the Old Port of Genoa, which was created to raise awareness of the port of Genoa, the provincial authorities of Genoa and Alexandria and the Foundation presented the project Carige the "Gateway to the North West" which aims to bring together the port with the Piedmont community through visits to the GPC and tours of the harbor by boat.
- The document was signed by the President of the Province of Genoa, Alessandro Repetto, and by the Department of Labor and Employment, Vocational Training and Education of the Province of Alessandria, Massimo Barbadoro, delegated by the president of the Paul Philippi, in the presence of Chairman of the Port Authority of Genoa, Luigi Merlo.
- The project gives life, under the "Citizens of the Port" supported by Fondazione Carige, a series of initiatives aimed particularly at schools and social associations who wish to know the complex reality of the port of Genoa that is interconnected even with the economic and social life of the entire area north-west of the Italian territory and in particular the province of Alessandria, with a strong link with its Interport Rivalta Scrivia.
- The cooperation between local and provincial Genoa and Alexandria, as well as offering the opportunity for the people of Alexandria to visit the port of Genoa through the Genoa Port Center, will allow the people of Genoa to know the role and structures within the territory of Alessandria logistics system in the north-west, which operates the port of Genoa.
- With the Memorandum of Understanding (
 ofMarch 16, 2011) the Province of Alexandria is committed to promoting and supporting the project "Gateway to the Northwest in the schools of their territory and from businesses, groups and associations of civil society of Alexandria and the provincial authority Genoa is committed to helping promote the acceptance and knowledge of the port in the world and student associations from the province of Piedmont.
