- TransContainer The Russian took control of the Kazakh KedenTransService
- Minority shareholder (with an option to become an equal partner) is the state railway company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy
The Russian group has gained control of TransContainer KedenTransService, the leading logistics company in Kazakhstan, having gained more than 67% of the share capital of the company, of which 20.1% and 46.9% directly through a subsidiary. The entrance to the shareholders of TransContainer KedenTransService was decided by the Board of the Russian group last June.
- Previously, the shareholders of KedenTransService consisted of the British Helmes Operations UK Ltd. (46.9% stake), the Kazakh Firm Almex Plus (13.2%), from Las Ondas Ltd. Marshall Islands (6.9% ) and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, the public railway company of Kazakhstan (33.0%). The latter, after the entry of TransContainer, maintains its interest in KedenTransService with an option to acquire TransContainer with a further 17% stake.
- KedenTransService operates 17 terminals in Kazakhstan and has a fleet of 30 locomotives.
