- RFI and Cociv sign the contract for the first constructive lottery of the Third Pass of Giovi

 Today to Rome the society Italian Railway Net (RFI) of the group Italian Railroads of the State (FS) and general contractor the Cociv, that it is participated by Impregilo (54%), Lead (21%), Tecnimont (20%) and CIV (5%), have undersigned the contract for the intense activities of the railway line high speed/high ability to the Third Pass of Giovi on the Milan-Genoa line, that takes part of confirmed Corridor 6 recently in "Core network" of the transeuropea net TRIES

- The contract, that it previews works and activity for 430 million euros, is relative to the first constructive lottery of the plan already financed from the Interministerial Committee for Economic Planning (CIPE) for 500 million euros and last July sanctions the start of the operating phase of the oral agreement which signed from Michele Mario Elia, managing director of RFI, and from Alberto Rubegni, president of the Cociv Consortium, to the presence of the minister of Infrastructures and of the Transports, Altero Matteoli, and of the managing director of Railroads of the State, Mauro Moretti

- From part its Maire Tecnimont has evidenced that, with the acquisition of this contracted, the company strengthens own competences in the field of the high railway speed, in which the group has planned and participated to the realization of lines AV/AC Turin-Milan and Bologna-Florence.

- RFI has remembered that the new line of the Third Pass of Giovi develops between the Liguria and the Piemonte crossing the territory of twelve municipalities in the provinces of Genoa and Alexandria mostly in gallery and has a total length of approximately 53 kilometers (39 kilometers in gallery), of which beyond 14 of interconnections with the conventional net. The Third Pass is interconnected to south with the node of Genoa in order to assure the connection directed with the harbor basins and the Genoa-Ventimiglia line and to north, in the directions of Turin, Novara, Milan and Piacenza, through the logons with the conventional lines in proximity of Novi Ligure and Tortona.
