Helvetic group ABB has reached an agreement in order to acquire the Canadian Envitech Energy with the objective to widen own offer in the field of the equipments and arranges constituents for the railway field. The North American company has center to Pointe Claire, in the Quebec. According to the forecasts, the acquisition will be carried out within the end of this year.-
- "The acquisition - it has explained in charge of the division Discreet Automation & Motion of ABB, Ulrich Spiesshofer - is online with our strategy of division to widen our technological platform and the solutions offered to the interesting market of the total and regional rail shipment".

- ABB has emphasized that own volume of transactions in the railway section has grown remarkablly during the last few years, with a rate annual increase of 30% approximately. In 2010, in this field, the Swiss group has acquired new orders for a total of beyond a billion of dollars.
