- To Bari the ship for the transport of eoliche members of the Enercon

 It has reached for the first time in Italy, landing to the port of Bari, the ship E-Ship 1, a prototype constructed from the German colossus of the energy Enercon GmbH in the ship yard of Emden of the Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven who is used after the transport of eoliche members.-
- The ship, of type ro-lo, has a tonnage of 10.550 tons, is long 130 meters, wide 22,5 meters and has commissioning last August. For the propulsion one makes use of diesel motors and four high Flettner rotores 27 meters thanks to which it develops the maximum speed of 17,5 knots. The particularitity of the ship, only to the world, is that to integrate the thrust of the motors with the force produced from the "created magnus effect" from four great cylindrical rotores. The magnus effect is the thrust created from a rotary body inside a air flow that pushes the ship forward.

- The first application to navigation of the rotores was of the German engineer Anton Flettern whom it made to construct, to half of years '20, in Germany, a rotor ship that however did not have much fortune. Today the Enercon has resumed the planning constructing a ship specialized in the transport of turbines and Aeolic elements with the scope to reduce the fuel burnup also of 40%. Draft therefore of an old progettuale idea that today comes resumption to the service of a more sustainable marine transport.
