This year is attended an increase of +7.8% of the ability to the world-wide fleet of portacontainer



According to the projections of the society of Alphaliner advising, in the 2015 cargo total ability of the world-wide fleet of portacontainer, taking into consideration the demolitions and of the disarmaments of ships that will happen in the course of the year, it will go up of +7.8% attesting itself to 5.144 ships for an ability to 19,8 million teu regarding 5.035 ships for an ability to 18,4 million teu in the year precedence. The rate of growth of the ability to the fleet will be therefore advanced to that of the 2014 that has been of +6.3%.

This year is attended the delivery of a total of 254 portacontainer of new construction for a total ability to 1,9 million teu and is previewed the escape from the market of 25 ships for an ability to 120 thousand teu, with a balance pairs to 229 ships for 1,8 million teu.

Alphaliner has announced that in the segment of the portacontenitori the orderbook world-wide on 1° January it had a consistency of 454 ships for an ability total pairs almost 3,4 million teu, with a bending of 12.1% regarding the beginning of 2014.

On the base of the current programming of the orders, in 2016 an increase of +5.3% of the ability to the world-wide fleet of portacontainer and in a 2017 bending is attended of -0,4%.
