Chinese shipyards in 2020

 La China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry
(CANSI) announced that in 2020 Chinese shipyards
completed the construction of ships for a total of 38.53
gross capacity (43.1% of the world total), with a total of
an increase of +4.9% on the previous year, for a total of 10.82
million tonnes of compensated gross tonnage. New orders
acquired last year by Chinese naval companies are
amounted to 28.93 million tonnes of gross capacity (48.8%
of the world total), with a decrease of -0.5% on the

- At 31 December last, the order books of the
chinese shipyards amounted to 71.11 million tpl (44.7% of the total
