COSCO TO RESTRUCTURE FLEET OPERATIONS
Cosco is to rationalise its four main shipping businesses by placing
each of them in one strategic location, according to chairman
Chen Zhongbiao. Beijing-based China Container Co will be merged
with Shanghai Cosco and the new company will be based in Shanghai
to handle the container business. By the end of this year, the
group will have a fleet of 152 container-ships
