APL Action Prompts TWRA to Convene Emergency Meeting
The Transpacific Westbound Rate Agreement (TWRA) will hold an
emergency meeting on October 28 in Tokyo to cope with the withdrawal
notice from APL, the largest shareholder within the agreement.
APL's withdrawal would give a deadly blow to the rate-making body
whose cargo lifting share has been below 50%. With the enactment
