Shippers anxious over permanent rate hikes
SHIPPERS on the Far East/Europe trade are concerned over peak
season rate increases, introduced by some lines, becoming a permanent
fixture of standard rates.
The lines, most of whom are non-conference operators, have added
to rates by around US$100-$150 per TEU for the pre-Christmas period.
