UK ports to fight "illegal" subsidies
The two associations representing the large UK ports have agreed
to merge to counter subsidies to rival northern European ports.
The ports of Felixstowe, Bristol and Thamesport, currently represented
by the United Kingdom Independent Ports Association (UKIPA) are
to join the larger United Kingdom Major Ports Group (UKMPG) from
Jan 1. UKIPA will be dissolved.
