Seoul and IMF raise S. Korean GDP forecast to 9%
THE South Korean government and the International Monetary Fund
have raised their gross domestic product (GDP) growth forecast
for this year to 8% to 9% and estimate growth of 5% to 6% for
2000, the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) said in Seoul
yesterday.
The IMF and the government also agreed to reduce their forecast
for inflation this year to below
