  • TPG se lance dans l'"e-fulfillment" et le "Sameday"
    TNT Post Groep (TPG) a annoncé lundi à Amsterdam un bénéfice net pour 1999 de 419 mio. d'EUR, soit une progression de 12,6%. Celle-ci est supérieure aux prévisions. Le chiffre d'affaires a progressé de 15,2% à 8,54 mia. d'EUR. C'est donc un président Ad Scheepbouwer très satisfait qui a présenté les résultats. Il a également annoncé qu'il s'attend à ce que le CA augmente de 3% supplémentaires dans les années à venir grâce au commerce électronique et plus particulièrement à ce qu'il a appelé l'e-fulfillment, c'est-à-dire la partie en aval de la commande au site marchand. Par ailleurs, il a été annoncé que TNT va lancer un produit "sameday" couvrant l'ensemble de l'Europe.
  • Stinnes entend doubler son CA d'ici 2008 grâce à l'e-commerce
    Le groupe allemand Stinnes a réalisé un bénéfice opérationnel de 180 mio. d'EUR l'année dernière, ce qui correspond à une hausse de 35% par rapport à l'exercice précédent. "Stinnes occupe une position enviable sur le marché de la logistique suite à la restructuration des activités au cours des dernières années". C'est ce qu'a déclaré le CEO Wulf H. Bernotat à l'occasion d'une conférence de presse à Malheim. "Nos activités de base, c'est-à-dire le transport (Schenker), les produits chimiques (Brenntag) et la logistique (Interfer) sont axées sur la logistique de demain et nous avons l'intention d'investir dans le marché émergeant du commerce électronique. Nous misons sur un doublement de notre CA, qui s'élève actuellement à 11,8 mia. d'EUR, d'ici 2008."
  • Zeebrugge remporte un nouveau trafic de bananes
    Le premier navire pour le transport de fruits de Eastwind est attendu à Zeebrugge au cours de la première moitié du mois prochain avec un chargement de bananes en provenance de l'Ecuador. Le port côtier belge a su attirer un nouveau trafic bananier depuis l'Amérique Centrale. Ce trafic générera sur base annuelle un volume supplémentaire de 45.000 à 50.000 tonnes de bananes.
  • Un groupe de travail européen se penchera sur la sécurité des pétroliers
    Les ministres européens du Transport, qui se réunissent aujourd'hui à Bruxelles, devraient approuver la constitution d'un groupe de travail chargé d'élaborer des propositions concernant la sécurité des pétroliers sur base des propositions récentes de la Commission européenne.
