  • France: l'offre rail/route ne répond pas à la demande
    En France, les accidents de la route enregistrés durant l'été relancent le débat sur la nécessité de reporter une partie du trafic de marchandises vers le rail. Une fois de plus, le combiné est donc mis en avant. Parallèlement, la demande du marché est bien repartie. Mais certaines commandes de matériel nouveau viennent d'être repoussées sine die alors que les moyens sont déjà en décalage face aux attentes des clients tant existants que potentiels.

C'est ce qu'a annoncé le ministre fédéral des Entreprises et Participations, Rik Daems, à la VRT en réaction aux déclarations du tout nouveau CEO Christoph Müller concernant la situation précaire dans laquelle se trouve la Sabena. Dans deux interviews téléphoniques avec respectivement le Financial Times et le SonntagsZeitung (suisse), Müller a déclaré que des licenciements ne peuvent pas être exclus. Il a ajouté qu'il envisage de vendre éventuellement la filiale de catering à d'autres filiales du SAirGroup. Les syndicats réagissent avec colère.
