Major port unions sign new wage agreement

NEW DELHI, Aug. 3
THE five Federations representing 97,000-odd port and dock workers
at the 11 major ports in the country have opted for a 10-year
wage settlement period with full neutralisation of dearness allowance
(DA), in a new wage agreement which was signed late on Wednesday
night.
The new wage agreement provides for a 27.5 per cent increase
