Oil rise forces Cathay to lift air cargo rates

Cathay Pacific Airways is raising its cargo rates from next month
to offset higher fuel costs.
The airline said it had applied to the Civil Aviation Department
for permission to add a surcharge of 40 HK cents per kilogram
to its long-haul cargo rates, and 20 HK cents per kilogram to
its short-haul rates.
