- Panalpina note une hausse du CA et des bénéfices de 26%
A linstar de la plupart des prestataires de services logistiques, le groupe suisse Panalpina a enregistré une forte croissance en 2000: le chiffre daffaires a progressé de 26,4% à 6,8 milliards de CHF et le bénéfice net a augmenté de 26,6% à 92,8 millions de CHF. Non sans fierté, le président Gerhard Fischer (faisant clairement référence aux chiffres de Danzas annoncés à Bâle, voir article) a déclaré que ces chiffres sont principalement attribuables à la croissance organique du groupe et non à dimportantes acquisitions ou désinvestissements. Le groupe a manifestement lintention de poursuivre cette stratégie et prévoit pour lavenir uniquement des acquisitions et/ou partenariats choisis avec grand soin. A la question de savoir si une introduction en bourse est envisagée, Fischer a répondu que cest hors de question pour les prochaines années.
- Zeebrugge et lOCHZ dans lattente du plus grand PC de leur histoire
Théoriquement, cest le 2 juin prochain que le port de Zeebrugge et le terminal de lOCHZ accueilleront le plus grand porte-containers de leur histoire, à savoir le CMA CGM Balzac, un PC postpanamax dune capacité de 6.600 TEU. Ainsi que nous lavons déjà évoqué, larmement français va aligner ce navire - et sept autres unités identiques - dans son service hebdomadaire FAL entre lEurope du Nord et lAsie. Ces navires remplaceront progressivement les neuf PC de 4.000 TEU qui animent actuellement ce service.

Ainsi quannoncé brièvement dans notre article sur les résultats de Deutsche Post World Net, la division logistique Danzas a connu lannée passée un développement spectaculaire du chiffre daffaires (+86%) et a opéré un retour aux bénéfices. Cette division a désormais publié des résultats plus détaillés. Pour cette année, la politique sera axée sur la poursuite de lintégration de AEI, sur la croissance du chiffre daffaires et de la rentabilité, sur de nouvelles acquisitions, sur le développement des activités dans le-commerce et sur la création dune nouvelle division de Fourth Party Logistics (4PL). Le défi pour Danzas est non seulement de conforter mais également de renforcer son leadership sur le marché logistique, a déclaré le CEO, Peter Wagner, lors dune conférence de presse à Bâle.
