Tout récemment a été créée en Belgique une nouvelle agence maritime, la firme Promar Agencies (Belgium) s.a.,axée sur la consignation de navires secteur tramping, et qui constitue le premier élément dune chaîne dagences européenne. Ladite société a été constituée au capital de 125.000 EUR.
- La compagnie Europe Airpost prend un nouvel envol en 2001
Depuis septembre 2000, lactivité aérienne de La Poste française est exercée via la toute nouvelle compagnie Europe Airpost. Cette dernière est lhéritière de la célèbre Aéropostale dont Air France et La Poste se partageaient le capital jusquau tournant de septembre dernier. Désormais, le groupe postal français en détient 100%. Lannée 2001 voit donc Europe Airpost partir sur des bases nouvelles et les dirigeants nont pas lintention de se limiter au seul transport du courrier. Une orientation qui mérite dautant plus dêtre notée que la compagnie intervient déjà à linternational en charters passagers.
- China Shipping Group commanderait des PC de 9.800 TEU
Si lon croit les déclarations faites par Li Kelin président du China Shipping Group à notre confrère Journal of Commerce, le nouveau géant du liner asiatique envisage de passer commande dune série de 2 PC de 9.800 TEU destinés à opérer sur le transpacifique. La livraison devrait intervenir en 2004.

Larmement reefer Cool Carriers, qui a récemment intégré le nouveau Lauritzen Cool, a décidé détendre son service hebdomadaire entre lAfrique du Sud dune part et le Royaume-Uni et le nord-est de lEurope dautre part par un service retour bimensuel répondant au nom de Cheetah service dès le mois de janvier. Lors du voyage retour, les navires alignés transporteront essentiellement des containers en pontée, mais les cargaisons industrielles (sous le pont) entrent également en ligne de compte.
