    Le groupe Mediterranean Shipping Cy (MSC), qui détient une participation de 40% dans l’armement short sea “Ferryways”, lequel assure un service régulier ro/ro pur fret entre Ostende et Ipswich, vient d’acquérir les deux navires qui assuraient cette liaison, à savoir les m/v “Thomas Wehr” et “Gabriele Wehr”, qui ont été rebaptisés “Anglian Way” et “Flanders Way”. Il s’agit d’unités d’une capacité de 91 trailers et 80 voitures. Par cette reprise, Ferryways connaît ainsi une nouvelle impulsion qui renforce sa position sur le marché ferry et a notamment pour effet de garantir son avenir.
  • Arena Packaging Systems développe une autre approche de la chaîne logistique
    En mai dernier, une nouvelle entreprise est devenue opérationnelle sur la place d’Anvers, en l’occurrence “Arena Packaging Systems s.a.” (1), fondée par plusieurs partenaires émanant des milieux de l’expédition, de la manutention et de la logistique, pour les trois quarts de nationalité belge, les autres étant Britanniques. L’objectif de l’entreprise est de s’inscrire dans la logistique de la “supply chain” en optimalisant le conditionnement de la marchandise, c’est-à-dire son emballage, en tenant compte du rapport poids/volume, ce qui permet d’accompagner des flux de trafics, voire de les générer.
  • Norbert Dentressangle a connu un bon premier semestre
    Le groupe logistique et de transport français Norbert Dentressangle a réalisé un CA de 481 mio. d’EUR au premier semestre de l’année, en hausse de 18,5% par rapport à la même période de l’année dernière. La reprise de Savam est à la base de cette hausse importante. Abstraction faite de cette acquisition, la hausse du chiffre d’affaires affiche 9,3%.
  • TLF rappelle à l’Etat son engagement de compensation intégrale
    L’intention du gouvernement français de majorer le prix du gazole de 7 centimes en 2002 par le biais d’une augmentation de la “taxe intérieure sur les produits pétroliers” n’a pas manqué de susciter l’inquiétude dans les milieux du transport routier. Dans un communiqué, Transport et Logistique de France (TLF) s’empresse de rappeler aux pouvoirs publics l’engagement qu’ils ont pris de compenser intégralement cette hausse des coûts au titre du carburant professionnel. Le gouvernement Jospin avait fait une promesse en ce sens dans le cadre des accords conclus à l’automne dernier après les actions des transporteurs routiers contre les fortes hausses du prix du gazole en 2000.
