Le groupe Mediterranean Shipping Cy (MSC), qui détient une participation de 40% dans larmement short sea Ferryways, lequel assure un service régulier ro/ro pur fret entre Ostende et Ipswich, vient dacquérir les deux navires qui assuraient cette liaison, à savoir les m/v Thomas Wehr et Gabriele Wehr, qui ont été rebaptisés Anglian Way et Flanders Way. Il sagit dunités dune capacité de 91 trailers et 80 voitures. Par cette reprise, Ferryways connaît ainsi une nouvelle impulsion qui renforce sa position sur le marché ferry et a notamment pour effet de garantir son avenir.

En mai dernier, une nouvelle entreprise est devenue opérationnelle sur la place dAnvers, en loccurrence Arena Packaging Systems s.a. (1), fondée par plusieurs partenaires émanant des milieux de lexpédition, de la manutention et de la logistique, pour les trois quarts de nationalité belge, les autres étant Britanniques. Lobjectif de lentreprise est de sinscrire dans la logistique de la supply chain en optimalisant le conditionnement de la marchandise, cest-à-dire son emballage, en tenant compte du rapport poids/volume, ce qui permet daccompagner des flux de trafics, voire de les générer.

Le groupe logistique et de transport français Norbert Dentressangle a réalisé un CA de 481 mio. dEUR au premier semestre de lannée, en hausse de 18,5% par rapport à la même période de lannée dernière. La reprise de Savam est à la base de cette hausse importante. Abstraction faite de cette acquisition, la hausse du chiffre daffaires affiche 9,3%.
