- TNT Express construit un nouveau complexe à Brucargo
La pose de la première pierre a donné le coup denvoi officiel des travaux dexpansion de TNT Express à Brucargo hier mardi. Ce nouveau site permettra non seulement une nouvelle augmentation des volumes à Bruxelles mais contribuera en outre à améliorer les conditions de travail du personnel. Lexpansion du centre représente un investissement de 22,5 mio. dEUR.
- LAdministration reconnaît que lorganisation du service de pilotage laisse à désirer
La réunion lundi après-midi entre Jan Strubbe, le directeur-général de lAdministration des Voies Navigables et de la Marine (AWZ), et les pilotes a toutefois mené à la suspension de la grève du zèle pour une semaine. LAdministration aura donc une semaine pour satisfaire aux exigences des pilotes. Tant les pilotes que lAWZ se montrent positifs quant à lissue et dici une semaine, tous les problèmes devraient être résolus.
- Transsteel Line mise sur les trafics conventionnels shortsea
Depuis quelques années, Transaf, le bureau dexpédition du groupe sidérurgique Arbed à Anvers, opère son propre service de ligne shortsea entièrement basé que les tonnages générés par ledit groupe. Ce service est exploité sous le nom de Transsteel Line. Transaf, en coopération avec Rhenus Alpina Agencies ouvre désormais ce service à dautres chargeurs. Transaf continue dassurer la responsabilité de lexploitation du service de ligne régulière, tandis que Rhenus Alpina Agencies se charge de la commercialisation de la ligne. En tant que booking agent pour Transsteel Line Rhenus Alpina Agencies intervient pour lapport des cargaisons non-Arbed.

Le groupe EPIC qui opère entre lEurope du Nord, lInde et le Pakistan va-t-il donner à sa flotte une nouvelle grandeur déchelle, passant de 7 PC de 2.800 TEU à 7 PC de lordre de 3.500/3.600 TEU? Théoriquement lidée serait datteindre cet objectif en avril/mai de lannée prochaine, mais rien nest moins sûr. Certes, il y a un accord de principe entre les partenaires, mais des doutes subsistent sur lopportunité de respecter ce délai, daucuns estimant quil est peut-être préférable de temporiser quelque peu.
