Cette société de travail doit permettre au groupe de poursuivre son déploiement dans lactivité porte-à-porte intra-européenne et plus particulièrement entre lEurope continentale, le Royaume-Uni et lIrlande, une zone maritime où Cobelfret occupe une position de marché enviable.
- Les ventes mondiales de Volvo Global Trucks ont régressé de 14%
Volvo Global Trucks, qui comprend Volvo Truck, Mack Trucks et Renault V.I., a vu son nombre de livraisons régresser de 14% à 91.872 unités au cours des sept premiers mois de lannée. Sur le marché des poids lourds dAmérique du Nord, la situation est carément dramatique. Le nombre de livraisons y a chuté de 38% à 21.904 unités. Sur le marché européen, le volume de livraison a baissé de 4% à 58.448 unités.
- Anvers est désormais accrédité pour le café arabica
Le 11 juillet dernier, le marché à terme du café de New York (NY Coffee, Sugar & Cocoa Exchange) accréditait officiellement Anvers comme port de livraison du café arabica. Cette décision ne fait en réalité que confirmer une situation déja bien établie. Lannée dernière, de par la croissance du trafic de café, le port scaldien était déjà devenu le numéro un en Europe. Cette consécration permettra cependant de faciliter le développement du trafic de café brut. Anvers est déjà accrédité par le marché à terme de Londres pour le café robusta. Pour le port scaldien, la position acquise dans ce secteur est dautant plus importante quil sagit dun trafic impliquant dans les domaines de la manutention et
du traitement à la fois un travail intensif et une importante valeur ajoutée.
- CP Ships: la mutation de lactionnariat à commencé
Naurait-il pas été préférable de reporter quelque peu lopération dintroduction en bourse de CP Ships, une des divisions du conglomérat Canadian Pacific, et dattendre une situation economique et boursière plus propice? La première journée de cotation du titre CP Ships a porté sur léchange de 10.000 titres à la bourse de Toronto au prix de 17 CAD par titre, alors que les pronostics faits précédemment pour lintroduction en bourse faisaient mention dun prix de 21 CAD. Sur base de ce cours de laction, la valeur de cette entreprise se situerait au niveau de 850 millions dUSD... alors quen juin dernier, la valeur comptable de CP Ships était annoncée à 1,1 milliard dUSD, soit 51,15 mia. de BEF.
