Le mois de septembre sera marqué par deux grands rassemblements, tous deux axés sur l’évolution de la situation concernant le trafic containérisé Europe-Far East. Yokohama sera le théâtre de la réunion des chargeurs asiatiques, européens et nord-américains. Shanghai verra une grande réunion des membres de la FEFC qui devra également mettre en place une nouvelle structure. Dans le premier cas, il s’agira de prendre position vis-à-vis des décisions que prendrait la FEFC en matière de réduction de la capacité. Dans le second, les membres de ladite conférence devraient se prononcer sur la manière de le faire.
- MAN Nfz pèse sur le résultat du groupe
Le constructeur allemand de poids lourds et de machines MAN a vu son bénéfice avant impôts régresser à 155 mio. d’EUR au premier semestre de l’année, contre 440 mio. d’EUR à l’issue des six premiers mois de 2000. Le CA du groupe a baissé de 8,29 à 7,33 mia. d’EUR. La faiblesse du marché des poids lourds et les coûts élevés dans la division de camions seraient à la base de cette évolution.
- Anvers en hausse de 3,6% à la fin juillet
A l’issue du septième mois de l’année, le trafic maritime au port d’Anvers enregistrait une progression de trafic de 3,59% à 76,14 millions de tonnes, ce qui témoignait d’une très légère accélération par rapport à la hausse de 3,3% notée à la fin du premier semestre. On est cependant encore loin du score de +5,5% qui avait été enregistré à la fin mai.
