Bangladesh port hit by strike over U.S. terminal
CHITTAGONG, Bangladesh, July 2 (Reuters) - Bangladesh's main Chittagong
port ground to a halt on Monday after about 20,000 workers walked
off their jobs in protest of plans to allow a U.S. company to
build a $500 million private container terminal.
The 24-hour strike, which began at 8 a.m. (0200 GMT), stopped
