India: Govt warns shipping cos on maintenance
MUMBAI, Aug. 9. THE Government has warned shipping companies of
punitive action if they fail to maintain their ships as per regulations.
The warning follows increasing cases of Indian merchant ships
being detained at European and US ports for inspection by port
state control authorities.
