Germany Moves to Reduce Short Domestic Air Routes

BERLIN - The German government wants to reduce the number of
flights within the nation's borders - a prospect welcomed by the
country's biggest airline.
A contradiction? No, says Lufthansa, which introduced a train
service Thursday that transports travelers between Stuttgart and
Frankfurt in 73 minutes, compared with a 55-minute flight.
