Rotterdam: more boxes on inland waterways
Last year, the share of inland shipping in container hinterland
traffic grew again. At the ECT terminals, for example - they make
for 70% of maritime container handling in Rotterdam - it went
up from 36 to 39%. The railroad's share of the traffic sank from
14 to 13%, although the capacities increased thanks to a new terminal
in the Maas plain and the expansion
