Good year for home-grown shipping cos.
Korea-based ocean carriers has seen last year's combined freight
income surpassing $11.1 billion, up 8.7 percent from a year ago,
according to a preliminary report released by the Ministry of
Maritime Affairs & Fisheries on January 4.
The report also revealed that the strong results came from positive
developments on cost savings.
