The American Customs and the Dutch Ministry of Finance have reached agreement concerning the transfer of an American Customs team to the port of Rotterdam.

Alors que certains milieux en Belgique appellent à la vente d’ABX Logistics par la SNCB, plusieurs journaux allemands annoncent que la Deutsche Bahn se prépare à acquérir le groupe logistique Stinnes. Cela fait plusieurs mois que le groupe E.ON, actionnaire majoritaire du groupe, cherche à vendre sa participation afin de se concentrer sur ses activités dans le secteur de l’énergie. En mai dernier, le président de la DB, Hartmut Mehdorn, avait déclaré être fort intéressé par une acquisition de Schenker, la division de transport routier et de logistique de Stinnes, en raison de sa complémentarité stratégique.

Transwide et Febetra ont signé un accord exclusif destiné à améliorer l’efficacité des ordres de transport et de la communication autour des documents CMR. C’est ce qu’annoncent la fédération de transporteurs et l’entreprise technologique spécialisée dans les solutions électroniques pour le transport. Pour Transwide, cela constitue une percée de son système électronique twDoc. Ce dernier permet la transmission d’ordres de transport entre chargeurs et transporteurs, ainsi que l’élaboration automatisée de CMR.

C’est donc bien en fin de compte Karel Vinck (64), actuellement à la tête d’Umicor (ex Union Minière), qui a été nommé par le gouvernement au poste d’administrateur délégué de la SNCB. Il a immédiatement participé au conseil d’administration de la société vendredi après-midi. Il exercera ce mandat pendant trois ans, soit au-delà de la limite d’âge qui avait été placée à 65 ans.
Il avait posé certaines conditions, comme la présidence du conseil stratégique (l’organe consultatif qui comprend notamment six représentants syndicaux) et celle du comité de nomination et de rémunération qui nomme les grands directeurs, mais ce n’était pas possible en vertu de la nouvelle loi du 22 mars 2002. Un groupe de travail est dès lors chargé de formuler des réponses à ses exigences d’ici la fin de l’année.
