    Klaus-Michaël Kühne, le président du groupe suisse Kühne & Nagel, estime qu’il existe un lien entre la probable vente du géant énergétique Ruhrgas AG par le gouvernement allemand au groupe E.ON et la vente probable du groupe Stinnes à la Deutsche Bahn. Il a déclaré à Die Welt qu’il soupçonne que la DB a effectué des pressions sur les milieux politiques pour emporter le morceau. Il en veut pour preuve que les groupes de transport et de logistique étrangers ayant marqué leur intérêt n’ont pas eu voix au chapitre.
  • PSA (Singapour) consent d’importantes réductions tarifaires pour un an
    Il y avait foule pour la célébration à Singapour du 30e anniversaire de la création de l’entreprise de manutention d’Etat PSA Corp, et parmi celle-ci de nombreux représentants de ports étrangers, ainsi que d’armements, dont les services fréquentent les terminaux de ladite entreprise. Ainsi qu’évoqué dans une précédente édition, l’événement était attendu avec beaucoup d’intérêt étant donné que PSA avait décidé de passer à la contre-offensive et partant, de rencontrer les aspirations de la clientèle. Les armateurs présents n’ont donc pas été déçus puisque la direction de PSA Corp a annoncé d’importantes baisses de tarifs.
  • Karel Vinck se donne trois ans pour remettre la SNCB sur les rails
    Avec Karel Vinck comme administrateur délégué de la SNCB, c’est une grosse pointure qui arrive à la tête de l’entreprise publique fortement politisée et syndicalisée. Il a beau avoir gagné ses galons dans l’assainissement de grandes sociétés comme Bekaert et l’Union Minière, il lui faudra déployer tous ses talents de manager et de négociateur pour remettre la SNCB sur les bons rails. C’est en tout cas un défi de taille qu’il espère relever en trois ans.
