    La République populaire de Chine envisage très sérieusement d’adhérer à la Convention TIR. Elle pourrait même le faire dans un délai relativement court de cinq ans, nous a déclaré un haut responsable du ministère chinois des Transports en marge du Congrès mondial de l’IRU à Bucarest. Théoriquement, il sera alors possible d’effectuer des transports depuis l’Europe jusque vers des villes en Chine. Mais c’est pour les transports intra-asiatiques (et plus particulièrement de et vers l’Asie du Sud-Est) que cette évolution devrait être la plus marquante. Aujourd’hui, aucun véhicule étranger ne peut pénétrer en Chine, les marchandises devant être déchargées à la frontière et transbordées à bord de camions chinois.
  • Trois nouveaux membres pour la Star Alliance
    Trois nouveaux membres vont rejoindre la Star Alliance. Asiana, LOT et Spanair vont en effet adhérer à l’alliance aérienne l’année prochaine. C’est ce qu’ont décidé les administrateurs délégués des 14 membres actuels de l’alliance à Shanghai, où l’assemblée générale de l’IATA se tiendra bientôt.
  • Le budget 2002 prévoit 7,1 mio. d’EUR pour des murs de quai fluviaux
    Le prix annuel du Dienst voor de Scheepvaart, qui a été remis pour la troisième fois lundi dernier, a été accordé à l’ASBL Zagrika “pour sa contribution exceptionnelle au développement de la navigation intérieure”. Cette association regroupe les producteurs, commerçants, affréteurs et transporteurs de sable, gravier et pierres calcaires et vise à utiliser la navigation intérieure le plus possible. Ils sont dès lors une sorte de précurseurs du programme de murs de quai de l’Autorité flamande qui vise à rapprocher les entrepreneurs de la navigation intérieure via un PPP qui connaît toujours un énorme succès à en juger les demandes courantes.
