Elle pourrait même le faire dans un délai relativement court de cinq ans, nous a déclaré un haut responsable du ministère chinois des Transports en marge du Congrès mondial de lIRU à Bucarest. Théoriquement, il sera alors possible deffectuer des transports depuis lEurope jusque vers des villes en Chine. Mais cest pour les transports intra-asiatiques (et plus particulièrement de et vers lAsie du Sud-Est) que cette évolution devrait être la plus marquante. Aujourdhui, aucun véhicule étranger ne peut pénétrer en Chine, les marchandises devant être déchargées à la frontière et transbordées à
bord de camions chinois.
