- Taca plans rate increase
The Trans-Atlantic Conference Agreement (Taca) announced a huge increase in westbound general tariff rates of $320 per 20-foot container and $400 per 40- or 45-foot container, effective Oct. 1. 2002.
- Cost cuts help BA beat expectations
British Airways shares were down 6 per cent, to 141 pence, in late morning trade in London, although the airline beat market forecasts by tripling operating profits in its first quarter to the end of June, from 50 million to 158 million pound.
