- Une nouvelle injection dargent dans ABX Logistics provoquera une plainte auprès de la Commission européenne
Les trois fédérations de transporteurs (Febetra, SAV et UPTR) et la Confédération des Expéditeurs de Belgique (CEB) ont annoncé lors dune conférence de presse commune à Bruxelles que, dans le dossier ABX Logistics, la coupe est pleine. En substance, les représentants de ces fédérations - soutenus en cela par Robert Ziegler, de lentreprise du même nom, ont dit quils naccepteront plus que lEtat injecte encore un euro dans la division logistique de la SNCB, car ils estiment quil sagirait dune concurrence déloyale pour les entreprises de transport et dexpédition. La Febetra, par la voix de son directeur Philippe Degraef, a annoncé que les mesures ont été prises pour déposer plainte auprès de la Commission européenne au cas où le Kerncabinet (cabinet restreint) décidait mercredi de pomper à nouvveau de largent dans ABX Logistics. Après la conférence de presse, hier après-midi - ils ont répété leur point de vue à la ministre des Transports Isabelle Durant.
- Les accords cieux ouvertscontraires au droit européen
La Cour européenne de Justice à Luxembourg a donné raison à la Commission européenne dans le conflit lopposant au Royaume-Uni, au Danemark, à la Suède, à la Finlande, à la Belgique, au Luxembourg, à la Autriche et à lAllemagne au sujet desdits accords cieux ouverts que ces pays ont passé avec les Etats-Unis.

Alors que la plupart des experts considèrent que la mise en pratique du système impliquant la présentation des manifestes 24 h avant le départ des navires nécessiterait une période de préparation dau moins un an, les douanes américaines vont de lavant et viennent dinformer les grands armements quils ont un délai de 90 jours pour optempérer. Une période dessai démarrera le 2 décembre prochain, qui durera 60 jours, période pendant laquelle des ajustements pourront intervenir. A cela sajoute un délai pour inscriptions préalables de 30 jours. Ensuite, donc début février, le système sera en vigueur pour tous les containers destinés aux Etats-Unis avec à la clé des lourdes amendes, des refus dembarquement et autres délais.
- Grimaldi restructure son service sur la COA
Larmement Grimaldi (Naples) alignera en janvier prochain une flotte harmonisée de 5 grands rouliers multipurpose sur la liaison Europe du Nord/COA, ceci avec lapparition de la cinquième unité, le nouveau Grande Francia de 26.300 t.dw (750 TEU- 2.500 m linéaires ou 1.800 voitures - capacité rampe 250 t) équipé de deux grues de 40 t pour la manutention de containers. La capacité ainsi alignée sur cette route augmentera de 20%. Dès le mois de février, la fréquence passera donc dun départ tous les 11 jours à un départ tous les 9 jours.
