- Le marché belge du camion a fortement reculé au premier trimestre
Comme prévu la vente de camions ne se porte pas très bien en Belgique. Cela est dû à la baisse de la conjoncture, mais également aux chiffres de vente de lannée dernière, qui jusquà la fin de lannée étaient restés particulièrement élevés. Dans le secteur des porteurs, la baisse des immatriculations au cours des trois premiers mois de 2002 nest pas tellement grave (-12,48%), mais dans celui des tracteurs la diminution est particulièrement prononcée (-28,06%). Remarquable dans ce contexte est que surtout Volvo et Iveco ont essuyé pas mal de revers... et que DAF a réussi à vendre plus et à devenir le n°1 dans le segment des tracteurs.
- Liner Est-Ouest: un vent de reprise?
Un vent de reprise semble se manifester dans le secteur du liner containérisé Est-Ouest. Il y a effectivement un certain regain de volumes, les navires opérant à pleine charge dans les deux sens, quil sagisse du trafic Europe-Asie ou du transpacifique. Vu la forte réduction de la capacité, soit 20%, un rééquilibrage sest effectué entre offre et demande, le balancier penchant légèrement vers la demande Toutefois, il est intéressant de souligner que la progression du trafic se situe surtout au départ de la Chine et ce tant vers lEurope que vers les Etats-Unis. Et cette situation est également vraie pour les transporteurs aériens, des compagnies aériennes étant dans lobligation daligner des avions supplémentaires.
- Deutsche Post établit un nouveau record
Alors que les entreprises postales européennes telles que Consignia, la Poste et la poste danoise ont enregistré des pertes en 2001, Deutsche Post World Net a amélioré ses chiffres de rentabilité par rapport à lannée précédente. Le chiffre daffaires du groupe postal allemand a progressé de 2,1% à 33,4 mia. dEUR, alors que le bénéfice dexploitation a augmenté de 7,3% à 2,6 mia. dEUR. Le bénéfice net a progressé lan dernier de 4% à 1,6 mia. dEUR. Sagissant des segments, surtout les divisions Express et Logistics ont été très performantes. cette année encore plus de son objectif ultime, à savoir devenir le principal prestataire de services logistiques intégrés de par le monde.
- Le port de refuge doit continuer à supporter le risque du navire en difficulté
Le Parlement européen abordera ajourdhui lavis de sa commission de transport sur une série de propositions de directives de la Commission européenne visant à accroître la sécurité en mer. Ces propositions - mieux connues sous le nom de paquet Erika II - ont fait lobjet de longues négociations entre la commission de transport du Parlement et la CE et le Conseil, le parlementaire belge Dirk Sterckx ayant joué un rôle important dans ces discussions. Il a formulé un rapport sur le compromis conclu avec le conseil. Si le Parlement approuve demain après-midi lavis de sa commission de transport, il y a de fortes chances que la directive deviendra effective. Le Conseil a naturellement le dernier mot, mais la présidence espagnole est disposée
à défendre devant le Conseil le compromis conclu.
