- Lancement dun service feeder entre Zeebrugge et Flessingue
Depuis début décembre, Zeebrugge est relié à Flessingue via un service feeder containérisée short sea. Celle-ci est assurée avec le caboteur à faible tirant dair Cast Salmon. Cette nouvelle liaison maritime permet de transférer plusieurs centaines de containers vers le transport par eau.
- La FEB demande la modification de la loi sur la lettre de voiture CMR
La FEB formule des réserves quant à la nouvelle lettre de voiture CMR qui sera introduite en date du 1er janvier 2003. Lorganisation patronale estime que le nouveau cadre législatif du transport routier est trop restrictif et répressif. Il pourrait en outre résulter en une distorsion de la concurrence, souligne la FEB dans son Bulletin mensuel. Cest pourquoi lassociation demande au gouvernement fédéral dadapter la loi du 3 mai 1999 sur la lettre de voiture CMR.
- EWS: le trafic par le Chunnel a fortement repris en novembre
Au mois de novembre, lopérateur ferroviaire English Welsh & Scottish Railway (EWS) a noté une hausse de 43% de ses trafics transitant par le tunnel sous la Manche par rapport à novembre 2001. Côté français, le terminal de Fréthun était quotidiennement infiltré par des réfugiés du centre de Sangatte jusquil y a peu, de sorte que les services ferroviaires via le tunnel avaient dû être temporairement interrompus. Le renforcement des mesures de sécurité semble désormais porter ses fruits.
- Un projet pilote teste le statut de sécurisation des containers multimodaux entre les EU et lEurope
