  • MSC accueille CMA CGM sur ses deux services atlantiques
    L’armement CMA CGM et Mediterranean Shipping Cy viennent de signer un accord de coopération qui permet au premier cité de louer des slots à bord des deux services atlantiques que le second assure depuis quelques années au départ d’Europe du Nord. Ainsi que nous l’avions laissé sous-entendre dans une édition précédente l’armement français a mis un terme à son accord avec Mærsk Sealand qui lui assurait la disponibilité de 550 TEU par semaine dans chaque sens sur 3 services atlantiques. La nouvelle coopération avec MSC démarrera au début du mois de novembre.
  • Vers un rapprochement entre Air France et KLM?
    Des discussions sont en cours entre Air France et KLM. “Pas concernant des liens capitalistiques, comme l’ont annoncé certains journaux”, précise toutefois Frank Houben, le porte-parole de KLM, qui souligne qu’il s’agit de contacts exploratoires, pas de discussions formelles. Les rumeurs sur une éventuelle alliance entre KLM et Air France vont toutefois bon train.
  • Bolloré entrerait pour 5 à 10% dans le capital de Geodis
    Le groupe français Bolloré devrait entrer dans le capital de Geodis, la branche transport routier/logistique de la SNCF, à l’occasion de la prochaine augmentation de capital de celle-ci. “L’opération sera soumise ces jours-ci au conseil d’administration de Geodis, dont la date n’est pas encore fixée”, révèle notre confrère Les Echos. Un porte-parole de Bolloré a précisé à l’agence Reuter que le groupe breton est intéressé par une prise de participation de 5 à 10%, “à condition que cette opération donne lieu à des coopérations entre les deux groupes”.
  • Montemar s’engage dans la desserte de la COA
    “Nous reconnaissons que notre intrusion sur le marché Europe-COA risque d’engendrer une pression sur les taux, mais notre objectif n’est pas de casser les prix sur ce marché, mais de relever un défi en nous mettant à son diapason. Le concept de nouveau service que nous avons mis au point, correspond à la volonté du groupe de développer des activités Nord-Sud essentiellement axées sur la desserte de la côte est de l’Amérique du Sud.” C’est ce que nous a déclaré Parwis Nouschirvan, vice-président de Montemar-Europe, lors d’un entretien centré sur ce nouveau service qui démarrera en octobre prochain et mettra l’Europe du Nord et du Sud en relation avec la côte ouest de l’Afrique et avec la côte est de l’Amérique du Sud.
