    L’accord réalisé à Luxembourg -sans la Suède qui a voté contre - sur un texte concrétisant le projet de directive portuaire européenne, qui devra encore faire l’objet d’une adoption définitive par le Conseil et le parlement, suscitait mardi matin bien des commentaires, toutefois assez prudents. Rappelons que le Conseil et le parlement doivent être unanimes vis-à-vis d’un texte conjoint pour que ladite directive prenne force de loi. Cette dernière étape n’est pas nécessairement gagnée d’avance. Tant dans les milieux maritimes et portuaires belges que dans les milieux syndicaux, on attendait d’être en possession du texte complet avant d’émettre des considérations. Du côté de la CE, on insistait sur le fait que tant la CE que le parlement européen étaient partisans d’une plus grande transparence et d’une plus grande flexibilité dans les ports, mais qu’ils avaient tenu compte du caractère spécifique d’un port et du travail qui y est effectué.
  • Vos Logistics ouvre une plate-forme logistique à Feluy
    Le groupe de transport et de logistique néerlandais Vos Logistics vient d’ouvrir une plate-forme logistique sur le site de production de polypropylène d’AtoFina à Feluy, au sud de Bruxelles. La plate-forme a été conçue et construite par le groupe de transport même et est un des plus grands centres en Europe pour la distribution de polypropylène. Grâce à cette installation, la capacité d’AtoFina à Feluy a pu être augmentée de 380.000 tonnes par an.
  • UPS renforce son ancrage à Cologne
    UPS a l’intention de porter sa capacité de manutention sur l’aéroport de Cologne-Bonn de 145.000 pièces par nuit à l’heure actuelle à 280.000 pièces en 2005. La construction d’un nouveau complexe fret doit permettre de réaliser cette ambition. Cet investissement de 100 mio. de USD illustre la volonté d’UPS de confirmer Cologne/Bonn comme tête de pont européenne. C’est ce qu’a déclaré le porte-parole de l’entreprise lors de la visite d’une délégation de presse belgo-néerlandaise au hub.
