  • La CE veut soumettre les pétroliers à coque unique à un régime plus sévère
    La Commission européenne a demandé aux ministres européens du Transport et au Parlement européen d’adopter le plus rapidement possible la proposition qu’elle a officiellement introduite hier. Cette proposition implique une interdiction accélérée pour les pétroliers à coque unique dans les ports et eaux territoriales de l’Union européenne et pas uniquement dans le secteur du transport de fuel lourd.
  • Merker SAS France en liquidation judiciaire
    Le tribunal de commerce de Roanne (Loire) a prononcé jeudi la liquidation judiciaire immédiate de la société de construction de semi-remorques Merker SAS France. Elle s’était déclarée en cessation de paiement vendredi dernier. Cette usine était la division française du groupe helvético-germano-nippon Merker Yshima, qui, lors de sa création il y a trois ans, affichait l’ambition de devenir le numéro 1 européen de la semi-remorque. La faillite de la filiale française soulève des questions quant à la pérennité du groupe et de sa principale usine à Tocco da Casauria, dans les Abruzzes.
  • L’Airfreight Institute réclame un plan de crise pour le fret “échoué”
    La non-expédition des envois de fret aérien par les compagnies aériennes en raison de problèmes financiers est un risque de plus en plus fréquent. L’Airfreight Institute (AFI) de la FIATA veut s’attaquer au problème. Selon le journal allemand des transports “DVZ”, le projet de l’AFI ne suscite cependant guère d’enthousiasme chez les compagnies aériennes et les expéditeurs.
  • Le système FBTS doit permettre d’uniformiser l’accompagnement du trafic fluvial
    Divers projets relatifs aux technologies de l’information et de la communication (TIC) susceptibles de contribuer à une optimalisation de la gestion des voies d’eau et de l’exploitation de la flotte fluviale ont été présentés vendredi dernier au campus de l’université d’Anvers lors d’un colloque placé sous le thème “Les TIC dans la navigation intérieure: le chaînon manquant?” Outre le Flanders Barge Traffic System (FBTS), le système de gestion automatisée des voies navigables et de contrôle de la navigation, le STIS néerlandais (Scheepvaart Transport Informatie Services) et le projet européen COMPRIS ont également été abordés.
