A peine un an après lannonce du plan Olympia et les funestes rumeurs de fermeture possible de lusine Opel à Anvers, lentreprise dévoile un programme dinvestissement ambitieux de quelque 500 mio. dEUR sur les cinq prochaines années. Ce programme a été officiellement lancé jeudi dernier en la présence du ministre flamand de lEconomie, Gabriels, et de la bourgmestre dAnvers, Detiège, avec la pose de la première pierre dune nouvelle presse. Cet investissement doit encore renforcer lancrage de notre usine anversoise, a déclaré ladministrateur délégué Eddy Geysen. Un nouveau modèle sera en outre construit à Anvers à partir de la mi-2004.

Laéroport de Billund, situé au centre du Danemark, a inauguré le mois dernier un nouveau terminal à passagers. Un petit groupe de journalistes belges spécialisés dans le transport et les voyages a effectué une visite de cet aéroport calme, où lon regrette fortement la disparition de la Sabena. Heureusement que laéroport maison, Maersk Air, propose encore une liaison journalière vers la capitale de lUE.

Contrairement à la plupart des constructeurs de semi-remorques, Krone est parvenu à clôturer lexercice 2001 sur une hausse du bénéfice. Le bénéfice dexploitation du groupe Krone, qui produit également des machines agricoles, a augmenté de 10,3 mio. dEUR à 17,7 mio. dEUR, une hausse de 70% par rapport à 2000. Le CA affiche 481,7 mio. dEUR (+20,3%). Pour 2002, lentreprise allemande table sur un CA de plus de 500 mio. dEUR.
