- Deutsche Post to invest in Asia
Deutsche Post World Net is to invest more heavenly in Asia in the forthcoming years.
- Boeing to deliver fewer widebodies
Boeing will deliver eight fewer widebody jets next year than it had planned, although it still expects to deliver between 275 and 300 planes in 2003 as previously forecast, commercial airplanes boss Alan Mulally said at Boeing's annual investors conference.

- Le Canal du Centre rénové sera mis en service en septembre prochain
Le Canal du Centre rénové sera officiellement mis en service le 2 septembre prochain. Les travaux entamés il y a vingt ans se termineront à cette date. Lascenseur de Strépy-Thieu, qui permet aux navires du type Europe de surmonter un dénivellement de 73,15 mètres dun seul trait, est bien entendu la pièce maîtresse de la modernisation du Canal du Centre. Mais le pont-canal du Sart, qui fait 500 mètres de long et qui domine la vallée du même nom, est également un ouvrage dart dune haute technologie.
- Joyau ouvre deux nouvelles agences en France
Lentreprise de messagerie et de transport express poursuit sa progression. Louverture de deux nouveaux sites signifie une nouvelle extension du réseau sur le territoire français. Lagence dEpinal sera mise en service le 3 juin prochain et celle de Paris Ouest à Coignières le sera le 1er juillet. Le groupe disposera alors de cinquante bureaux en France.
- Les ports intérieurs reconnus comme des carrefours importants dans les RTE
La Fédération européenne des ports intérieurs (FEPI), qui représente déjà plus de 200 ports intérieurs dans 18 ports européens, est particulièrement satisfaite du programme européen Marco Polo, qui octroie des aides financières aux initiatives intermodales dans un cadre plus vaste que le précédent PACT. Le fait le plus important pour la FEPI a toutefois été lintégration complète, par le Conseil et le Parlement en mai 2001, des ports intérieurs dans les RTE. Cette reconnaissance doit assurer le rôle davenir des ports intérieurs dans une Europe intermodale.
- Ro-Ro 2002 ouvre ses portes à Lübeck
Ce mardi 28 mai souvre au centre de congrès de Lübeck la 16e conférence internationale Ro-Ro, manifestation qui saccompagne comme à laccoutumé dune importante exposition. Cette manifestation revêt cette année un caractère particulier pour de multiples raisons. La libéralisation dans le contexte des trafics maritimes propres à lUE, du Short sea/cabotage et plus précisément dans le secteur des ferries, a pour conséquence de mettre fin à des situations de monopole. Des nouveaux venus sont ainsi apparus dans des trafics jusqualors réservés à des compagnies nationales.
