P&O bid prompts takeover review

The proposed merger between P&O Princess and US rival Royal
Caribbean has prompted Britain's takeover regulator to announce
plans to close a loophole in its rules.
The change would be seen as a victory for a band of institutional
shareholders that has lobbied hard against US-style "poison
pill" clauses - designed to discourage takeover battles.
