Upgrade of seaport to boost economy
THE State Government will spend $225 million on upgrading ports
around the state as part of a four-year program to bolster the
future economy of Western Australia.
The port enhancement program will include $100 million to deepen
the Geraldton Port, 420km north of Perth, which is expected to
create about 660 jobs in the construction phase.
