Record half-year profit for port of Tauranga
A sharp lift in container traffic has seen the Port of Tauranga
today report a record half-year profit of $12.3 million.
The net profit for the six months ending December 31, 2001, was
5 per cent higher than 12 full months of trading 3-1/2 years ago.
The port moved 162,178 20-foot equivalent containers at Sulphur
Point for the first six months of the current financial year --
