Two new ports to be built in Philippines

A Japanese consortium comprising Mitsubishi Kawasaki and the Toyo
Group were recently awarded a contract for the construction of
the Mindanao Container Terminal in Misamis Oriental.
The US$92.6 million port is set to be built in the northern Mindanao
town of Tagoloan. Participation in the bidding was limited to
Japanese contractors
