G-8 to discuss plan to make ports safer

The Group of Eight major nations have begun final work on an action
plan to be presented at the next G-8 summit that would make the
international transport of people and goods safer from terrorism,
sources close to the summit said Sunday.
The plan is designed to tighten inspections of freight containers
for explosives, make immigration control
