DNV Petroleum Services today responded to a press release from Lintec Testing Services (Nov. 5), which said that bunker alerts are in danger of becoming junk mail. Although Lintec did not explicitly name any companies, the criticism against automatically generated bunker alerts seemed particularly aimed at DNVPS, the global leader in fuel testing. DNVPS today responded to Lintec's statements, stressing that its bunker alerts are well-founded, accurate and useful to their customers.
