March 25, 2003 Finnair to cut 1,200 jobs; threatened strike averted Helsingin Sanomat Finnair has joined the ranks of Finnish corporations that have announced dismissals. The airline reported on Monday that it will cut 1,200 jobs over the next two years in order to improve its profitability.
