September 22, 2003 Salvage operation on for missing containers Sept. 22: Movement of ship in the navigational channel of the Chittagong Port resumed at 7.30 am this morning after a suspension for about 12 hours following the collision of two ships yesterday. Talking to The Independent, AMM Shahadat Hussain, Chairman of the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) said, the navigational channel of the Chittagong Port is quite okay and fit for movement of ships. For this reason, the authority has allowed ship movement since 7.30 am, he added.
