August 19, 2003 Aqaba Port bustles with activity Export shipments drop by 15% By Khalid Dalal AMMAN - Incoming and outgoing shipments through Aqaba Port increased by 12 per cent in the first seven months of this year compared to the same period last year, official statistics showed Monday. A government official who requested anonymity attributed the rise to oil shipments passing through the port since the war erupted in Iraq.
