September 11, 2003 Container market rises on China's foreign trade push CARGO handled through China waterways for the first half of the year reached 702 million tons, an increase of 6.1 per cent over the same period last year. For the first half, China's import and export trade reached US$37.6140 billion, an increase of 39 per cent, and this helped improve China's container trade market.
